  General Notes:

Ruth was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Burleigh County, the daughter of Ira J. and Emma (Anderson) Falkenstein. She was raised and educated in Baldwin. She married Israel E. Keator May 18, 1935, in Bismarck.
Israel and Ruth farmed in the Wilton area until 1956, and then moved to Bismarck. Ruth worked at MCI, which then was Bismarck Hospital, as a dietary technician for three years. She then worked at the North Dakota State Capital as a mail clerk from 1960 to 1984. She retired in 1984.
Ruth was an active member at the Evangelical Churchs in Wilton and Bismarck. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Society. She volunteered with the AWANA program. Ruth was also a member of the Still Homemakers Club in Wilton. Ruth has been living in the Baptist Home for the past seven years.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Myrna and Merwin Backman, Wilton, and Norma and Norman Kienzle and Doris Ann and Don Van Beek, all of Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Lois, Dickinson; 15 grandchildren, Renae and Steve Dockter, Mark and Linda Backman, Ryan Backman, Rex and Rajean Backman, Cindy and Don Fischer, Tami and Clay Volz, Dirk and Holly Kienzle, Darren Van Beek, Jeff and Becky Van Beek, Lance and Audrey Keator, Lorne and Tara Keator, Lane and Ruth Keator, Leon and Barb Keator and Lex Keator; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson, Adam Silbernagel; also survived by grandson-in-law, Larry Silbernagel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Israel, who died on June 25, 1975; one granddaughter, Debra Kienzle Silbernagel; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Dockter and Jesse Silbernagel; eight brothers and sisters.

Ruth married Israel Earl Keator-[401] [MRIN:89] on 18 May 1935 in Bismarck, Burleigh Co., ND. (Israel Earl Keator-[401] was born on 11 Dec 1903 in Wilton, Mclean Co., ND, died on 25 Jun 1975 in Bismarck, Burleigh Co., ND and was buried in Jun 1975 in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck, ND.)
