Occupations: Lawyer, soldier, farmer, stockman, and judge. Judge allan has had a long and varied career. He spent two and a half year at the Oklahoma School of Law at Norman, OK and then enlisted in the Coast Artillery and trained at Camp Winfield Scott and Camp zachary Taylor, He was commissioned a 2nd. Lt. of field artillary at Camp Stanley, TX. In 1919 he returned to Watonga, OK where he took up the practice of law. in 1922 he regained his commission in the reserves. In 1923 he made Captain and in1924 was promoted to Major in command of the 2nd. battalion, 189th field artillery. In 1938 he made Lt. Col. and his unit was Federalized in 1940 at Ft. Sill, OK. between then and 1943, He survived two ship sinkings and was assigned to the staff of gen. Douglas MacArthur. He served in Sidney, Brisbane, New Guinea and New Britain. Allen married Stella Rutledge-[298] [MRIN:57] on 24 Jan 1921 in Unknown. (Stella Rutledge-[298] was born about 1899 in Unknown and died on an unknown date in Watonga, Blaine Co., OK.) |
