Carl Lind Harrington was raised by “Uncle Grant”, who lived in Independence, MO. He drove the chuck wagon on the range when he was 14. He was a truck driver for the Army in WWI in France. He joined the Army to get away from home. After the war, he had a homestead in KS, but lost it. He met Dorothy Ann Herold (7/8/1907 - 5/14/1958) while in the hospital at Fitsimmons Army Hospital. They were married in KS. They moved to Peoria, IL, and then on to Maywood, IL. He worked at Chicago Metal Tube. Burial: Elmlawn Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. Their children are:

2.Carl Robert Harrinton (2/18/1932 - 1/23/2006)
3.Dorothy Renee Harrington (2/1/1936 - still living)
