Hamman, John Guyer-[2388]

  General Notes:

John Guyer Hamman was born June 23, 1912 in Connellsville, Pa. and Died April 13, 1966 of a Heart Attack. John served in WWII received a Purple Heart for injuries received in Europe. He was a Police Officer in Connellsville.
At the Time of His death, was Asssistant Police Chief of Connellsville. John married Elizabeth Gorsuch, daughter of John C and Carrie N. Dawson Gorsuch, on Sept. 20, 1939 in Connellsville, Pa.. Elizabeth was born Nov. 9, 1909 in Pa. She was a Sunday School Teacher all of her life at the United Otterbien Methodist Church in Connellsville. Elizabeth died Dec. 27, 1979 while buying cards at the drugstore. She never forgot anyone's birthday or anniversary.

John Joseph Hamman born March 11, 1957 in Greensburg, Pa.
(Note: John was adopted by John G. and Elizabeth Hamman. The adoption must have been prearranged. John Joseph came out of the hospital on March 14, 1957 and straight into their home. John Joseph knows no other parents
and considers John and Elizabeth his only parents. I personally suspect he belongs to either John's or Elizabeth's family because he looks alot like other family members)
Laura Belle Hamman was born abt. 1907 in Pa.(info is still not complete but is available)
Thelma Hamman was born abt. 1909 in Pa.
George W. Hamman was born abt. 1918 in Pa. and Died in 1952 in Florida of a Brain Tumor
Notes on George: On Dec. 31, 2003, We received a phone call from Jack Hann of Connellsville, 65 years old. He stated that his mother had just told him that his real father was George Hamman. He stated that when his mother was pregnant, George wanted her to move to Florida and she wouldn't go with him. We are meeting with Jack very soon and will keep you informed.)
