Frank Charles was born and grew up in Bruceton Mills, W.VA. He moved to Bismarck, ND with his father's family in 1885. He graduated from Bismarck High School and South Dakota University Where he met his wife. After Marriage in1894 they moved to Willow City, ND and in1894 to Bottineau, ND where Frank taught school and became County Superintendent of Schools. he founded the Bottineau County News in 1900 and remained the owner and editor until 1930.
During a 20 year search of family history, he obtained the old German Bible which had belonged to Ludwig III. This bible contained the handwritten record of ludwigs family and their birth dates. This bible was passed on to his son, Edward Jesse. It's present owner is unknown at this time.
We owe much to the efforts of Frank Charles and Edward Jesse for their labor in gathering most of the information in this program. After several years of work on this with a computer, I wonder how they ever did it without one. R.L.F.

Frank married Frances Margaret Burchard-[583] [MRIN:149] on 18 Aug 1896 in Unknown. (Frances Margaret Burchard-[583] was born on 8 Oct 1873 in Unknown and died on 24 Jan 1960 in Bottineau, ND.)
