I now understand who the Falkensteins were. They had married into the family. Your Joseph Benson, born 1825, had a daughter Clamensa, born 1854, who married Wiley Falkenstein. Family tradition is that the Falkensteins raised James Harvey Guesman. my husband's great-grandfather. Now I know that Falkensteins lived in Preston Co. My husband's mother always thought that Falkenstein was a Jewish name, and perhaps they were German Jews.
