Jesse Volenteered for military service in Company E, 166 Regiment of PA and continued in the service of the North for nine months. He served from Nov. 1862 to July 1863 under the command of Col. Andrew J. Fulton.
His farm was located just west of Thomasville, PA. Numerous decendents live around York, PA.
